hey Constance,

good question and yes JOIN comes before WHERE.
The extended key-word-order-list looks like this
1. SELECT
2. FROM
3. JOIN (ON)
4. WHERE
5. GROUP BY
6. HAVING
7. ORDER BY
8. LIMIT
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Tomi

Thanks for the article. I was referencing your “best practices” article while completing the exercises, specifically the ordering of key words. I’m assuming from your answer it is correct to put a JOIN clause before a WHERE clause? The “best practices” article didn’t state and I was putting my WHERE clause before my JOIN clause. Just wanted some clarification! Thank you!

In Test yourself #2
Print the top 5 ABBA songs ordered by number of plays!

I think you forgot to put “LIMIT 5” in your answer.
Just incase in the future, ABBA creates new song again. =)

hi Puneet,

for the first look, it seems that you are missing the GROUP BY clause, but just in case could you provide me the error message you received?

Thanks,
Tomi
